Welcome Our Nursery LittlElla's Childcare

At LittlElla's Childcare, we provide a nurturing and educational environment for children to learn and grow. Our passionate staff are committed to providing the best care and support for your little ones. We are an open space nursery with divided areas for Preschool 3-5 years, 2 years and Babies 9 months - 2 years.

Our Farm Day

As our curriculum theme focuses on animals, what better way to celebrate our learning than by hosting a fantastic Farm Family Fun Day!

In our base room, we provided a range of enriching, farm-themed activities designed to support children’s learning and development across all seven areas of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS). These engaging experiences encouraged curiosity, creativity, exploration and opportunities for children to develop new skills through play.

Outside, the children and their families had the exciting opportunity to meet, interact with and explore a wonderful variety of animals. Thanks to Manor Farm Experience, we welcomed a goat, sheep, pony, rabbits, guinea pigs, a bearded dragon and a lizard! This hands-on experience allowed the children to learn more about different animals, their characteristics and how to care for them, supporting their understanding of the world and encouraging kindness and respect for living things.

The fun continued with delicious food, music and bubbles, creating a joyful atmosphere for everyone to enjoy together.

What an amazing day filled with learning, laughter and memorable family moments! A huge thank you to Manor Farm Experience and all our families for helping us make this special event such a wonderful success.

Our Baby Centre

Our baby room caters for up to 12 babies at a time, providing a warm, nurturing and enriching environment where every child is supported to feel safe, secure and valued. We celebrate and welcome all cultures, family backgrounds and individual routines, working closely with families to ensure each baby’s needs and home routines are respected.

As part of our enrichment programme, we offer weekly Hartbeeps sessions, providing an immersive and interactive experience filled with music, bubbles, rhymes, storytelling and sensory exploration. Each week brings a brand-new theme, transforming the room into an exciting adventure — from pirates and beach days to beautiful flowers, hair salons and car washes!

These engaging experiences encourage babies to explore, discover and develop through music, movement, sensory play and imaginative experiences, making every week a new adventure.

Our Preschool and Toddlers

Our pre-school and toddler room is a fun, exciting and welcoming space where there’s always something new to explore!

We have amazing Tuff Trays that are changed regularly to give the children lots of opportunities for messy, sensory and imaginative play. Our cool construction area is perfect for little builders to create, build and experiment, while our realistic home corner encourages lots of lovely pretend play and developing those important social skills.

The children also enjoy freshly made playdough every day, giving them plenty of opportunities to get creative and develop their little hands and fingers.

We have a large and cosy reading area where children can relax, enjoy their favourite stories and discover new books with their friends.

We also have some great extra-curricular activities, including Mini Tennis, which the children absolutely love!

Our aim is to make every day fun, exciting and full of opportunities to learn through play, with lots of laughter, creativity and happy memories along the way.

Our Trips

We provide a wide range of enriching trips and experiences within our local community, giving children opportunities to explore, learn and develop beyond the nursery environment. Our local outings have included visits to Mellows Park, Wallington Library, Fun Fair and local soft-play facilities. We have also taken the children on a trip to Sainsbury’s, where they had the opportunity to select and purchase fruit, helping them develop independence, communication and an understanding of everyday life.

We also value opportunities to introduce children to different cultures and traditions. During our very own Mexico Day, the whole nursery community immersed themselves in Mexican culture through themed food, games, music and activities. Experiences such as these help children develop an understanding and appreciation of the wider world, supporting the EYFS Understanding the World area of learning.

These experiences are closely linked to the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), as they provide meaningful, hands-on opportunities for children to develop across all areas of learning. Trips into the community support children’s communication and language, encourage social interaction and independence, develop their physical skills, and build their confidence and knowledge of the world around them.

We also recognise the important role of appropriate risky play in children’s development. Carefully considered opportunities to take manageable risks—such as climbing, balancing, exploring unfamiliar environments or trying something new—allow children to develop confidence, resilience, problem-solving skills and an understanding of how to assess and manage risk. Risky play does not mean putting children in unnecessary danger; rather, it involves providing a safe and supportive environment where children can experience appropriate challenges while adults assess and manage genuine hazards.

By offering children opportunities to explore their local community, experience new environments, make choices and take appropriate risks, we help them become confident, capable and independent learners, while supporting the principles and learning outcomes of the EYFS.

Our Garden

Our nursery is fortunate to have a spacious and inviting garden, providing children with valuable opportunities to explore, play and learn outdoors. We encourage children to take an active role in caring for our outdoor environment, including watering and looking after our plants. Through these experiences, children learn about nature, growth and the importance of caring for living things.

Gardening activities support several areas of the EYFS, particularly Understanding the World, as children observe how plants grow and begin to understand the natural world. They also develop their physical skills through carrying, pouring and using age-appropriate gardening equipment, while building communication, cooperation and independence as they work together.

Our garden also provides opportunities for open-ended and physical play, allowing children to explore, make choices, test their abilities and take appropriate risks. These experiences help children develop confidence, resilience, problem-solving skills and an awareness of how to keep themselves and others safe.

We believe that outdoor learning is an essential part of early childhood, giving children the freedom to explore, be curious and develop a strong connection with the natural world.

Overall Experience Overall Experience5.0 out of 5

"Absolutely love Littlellas! I was initially nervous after my son had a difficult time settling in at a previous nursery, but this experience has been the complete opposite. From the very beginning, the staff have been brilliant especially the nursery manager who is warm, friendly, and a mum herself.

My two-year-old son has just started and has settled in far better than I could have hoped-no tears at drop-off or pick-up, which says everything. He genuinely enjoys going in every day, and it gives me great peace of mind knowing he's happy and so well looked after. The use of the app is a lovely touch-it's wonderful being able to see photos and videos of what he's been up to during the day. The nursery itself is new, spacious, clean and has a fantastic garden area with brilliant outdoor activities.
I honestly can't praise Littlellas enough. It's a caring and stimulating environment for young children, and I feel so lucky to have found it!"
